How to contribute to Testing

The focus of the DMC's testing effort is to improve the quality of our Model Development Kit and web platform.  This effort relies on people in our community who are interested in finding and reporting bugs, tasks and enhancement ideas.  To learn more about how to join our testing effort, please see the information below.

Step-by-step guide

The following steps can be used to learn how to start testing our software and to become a community Issue Master.

Testing the web platform and software

  1. Sign up for an account and get familiar with our issue tracker
  2. Participate on the issue tracker by filing new issues or commenting on existing issues

Becoming an Issue Master

After you've gone through the process of using our Issue Tracker for a while, we'd love it if you could share your knowledge and experience with other people trying to do the same thing and to get your help syncing the public issue tracker with a legacy internal issue tracker.  The goal is to merge the internal issue tracker with the public one, but for now we need help making sure issues are being synced between the two systems.  Please reach out to Jim Barkley (by sending an email or finding him on the forums).  After that discussion, the next step is to sign our Participation Agreement and to announce your role as a Issue Master to the community.
