How do I log into the DMC

If your organization has federated with the DMC, you will be able to log into the DMC using your organization credentials. If your organization has not federated with the DMC, you will still be able to log into the DMC using a google e-mail provider account. Before logging into the DMC, make sure that you are not logged into any e-mail accounts in the browser you are using.

  1. Go to portal.opendmc.org
  2. Now click on log in.
    1. Choose your organization from the list of identity providers.
      1. If not listed choose google.
      2. Or you can also create an account on the DMC by choosing UI LABS Guest Idp
        1. Choose to create a new account and you will then be asked to fill in the following:
          1. Name
          2. E-mail
          3. Phone Number (Not required)
        2. When you have completed the form, you will be sent an e-mail with a link to create a new password as well as to set your recovery questions.
          1. Password
            1. Make sure that your password has at least one of each (capital character, lowercase character, number and special character), and is at least 8 characters long.
          2. Recovery questions
            1. Your recovery answers need to be at least 5 characters long.
  3. Return to https://portal.opendmc.org and click on login choose UI LABS Guest Idp once more.
  4. Log in using your credentials
    1. Allow the identity provider to share with opendmc if prompted.
  5. You are now logged into the DMC
  6. Follow the on boarding steps.
    1. Fill in your First and Last Name
    2. Input your company e-mail in the e-mail field.
    3. Select your organization from the auto complete list.

Supported Browsers

Currently the browsers we support are Firefox, and Chrome. We are working to integrate Windows Explorer and Microsoft Edge in the future.

I've logged into the DMC with a different account than I intended and I can not logout, what do I do?

  1. Go to the website that you verified your identity with and log out.
  2. Close the browser you are using
  3. Reopen the browser.
  4. Go back to the DMC website
  5. Click on log in.
  6. Choose your identity provider
  7. You should now be logged in with the appropriate account
  8. If you still can not log out, open a private browser and then try the log into the DMC website with the instructions above.

How do I Change my Name and Display Name

  1. After logging into the portal, navigate to the My Account section.
    1. Click on the display-name in the top right hand corner of the page, and choose My Account from the drop-down menu.
  2. From here, you can can update: your First Name, Last Name, E-mail Address, as well as you Display Name.
    1. At this time, it is recommended to make your Display Name your full name.
  3. After making your changes, click on the green save button in the top right hand corner of the form.
    1. After navigating to a new page, you will see you changes take effect.

How do I Update My Profile Page

  1. After logging into the portal, navigate to the My Profile section.
  2. Click on the display-name in the top right hand corner of the page, and choose My Profile from the drop-down menu.
  3. When the page loads, you can click on edit profile button.
    1. Here you can edit all the fields which include: Title, Location, Description, and Skills.
    2. You can also upload a profile picture here as well.
  4. When you have made all of your edits, click on the green save button in the top right hand corner of the form.

How do I become an organization Administrator?

For existing DMDII Members

  1. Create an account by logging in using the steps listed above.
  2. The member organization should respond to the e-mail invitation for the member portal or send an e-mail with the designated admin name and e-mail address to askdmc@uilabs.org and request the user be elevated to admin status.
  3. The UI LABS team will elevate the user's status to admin.

For Non-DMDII Members

Organization administrators are automatically created if your account is the first to create the organization. Instructions for creating an organization are as follows:

  1. You must have an account.
  2. After logging in, you will see a pop-up.
    1. Fill in your account information.Check to make sure your organization does not already have a profile by starting to type its name.
      1. If your organization does not show up, start typing OTHER and click on it when it appears.
    2. In the next step you will be presented with a pop-up that is the DMC license.
      1. You need to agree to this to proceed.
  3. You will now be presented with a Create Organization form.
    1. Fill out all of the required fields and click on the green save button on the page.
    2. As the first person to create the organization, you are now the organization administrator.
      1. As the administrator for your organization, you are now responsible to confirming and accepting invitations from other users.
      2. You have the ability to make them member or organization administrators as well.
  4. If the Create Organization form does not appear automatically, you can click on the account name drop-down menu in the top-right hand corner of the screen.
    1. Choose My Account
  5. In the Account Basics tab, click on the green Create New Organization button.
    1. Fill out the information on this page and click on the green Save button in the right hand corner of the form.

Switching Organizational Roles for Organizations

In order to become an administrator or other role for an organization, one of the current organization administrators will need to change your role to administrator. The following step need to be taken by an administrator in order to change an account's role.

  1. Log in as an administrative account.
  2. Go to the organization profile page.
    1. Click on the Community Tab in the Menu.
    2. Click on the filter button to the left of the search bar and choose companies.
    3. Click on search with nothing in the search field.
    4. If your organization does not appear on this page, click on the drop-down menu under the show field and choose All Items.
    5. Click on the name of the organization on the card.
  3. Find the account the needs to have their role updated.
  4. Click on the drop-down menu and choose their new role.

How do I become an Organization Member?

In order to become a company member your organization must have a designated organization administrator. After logging in, and choosing an organization in the pop-up menu, your organization admin will need to then send you an authentication token.

To authenticate your account use the following instructions:

  1. Click on your name in the top right hand portion of the page.
    1. In the drop-down menu, click on My Account.
  2. Paste in your verification token in the appropriate field.
  3. Click on the green Verify button.

Where is my Organization's profile page?

Market Place

The market place is a section of the DMC where you can see what services are available to you on the DMC through your organization.

You can get to Market place by:

  1. Click on Marketplace drop-down menu.
    1. Choose My Storefront

Organization Profile page

The organization profile page is a section of the DMC where one can find other members of their organization, view awards your organization has and much more.

You can find this section by doing the following:

  1. Click on Community in the menu.
  2. Click on the filter drop-down menu and choose companies.
  3. Click on search while leaving the search filed empty.
  4. Click on the Show filter drop-down on the new page and choose All Items to see all organization profiles that are on the DMC.
  5. Find your organization's card and click on the organization name.
  6. The page that has loaded up is your organization's profile page.
    1. Editing of this page is done by organization administrators.

Member Directory (only for DMDII Members)

The Member directory is a section of the DMC which on DMDII Members have the ability to access. You can learn more about what is available to DMDII Members on the DMC and the Member Directory by clicking on the following link: Member Portal Use Cases

  1. Log into the DMC as a DMDII member account.
  2. Click on the Member drop-down menu.
  3. Choose Member Directory

How do I find other organization on the DMC?

If you would like to be able to find other organizations that are currently using the DMC (DMDII Member or non-member) please do the following:
